Take one look at my wardrobe and you’ll notice something: I love dark, cozy colours. Charcoal greys, deep blacks, and navy blues are my closet staples, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t sport the occasional bright and bold outfit.
To create the perfect look for WMC Fashion Week, I decided to start with a pair of forest green trousers. Comfort and convenience is always in the back of my mind when I’m dressing for an event, so I paired them with a silk snakeskin blouse and an oversized laser-cut clutch to carry my fashion week essentials.
Taking advantage of the mild fall we’ve been having, I left my jacket at home and put on my peep-toe wedges for one last hurrah before the cold weather settles in. To bring my entire outfit together, I chose to wear my favourite leather and metal chevron belt, a muted maroon lip, and a pink statement necklace.
Cool colours may occupy the majority of my closet, but it’s important to frequently look on (and put on) the bright side of life.
